In addition to his role as on-camera host, Doug is the director of cinematography for the series and writes and produces the episodes. As a percussionist and guitarist, he contributes original music to the soundtracks.
Diane produces, directs, and edits the episodes of Doug's Geology Journal. She also films Doug as he explores some of Earth's most fascinating geologic locations.
In their work for the non-profit Earth Images Foundation Diane and Doug have filmed on six continents and produced sixteen television documentaries that have been broadcast by PBS and international networks. Their latest one-hour film, Planet of the Plates, is coming soon to PBS.
